Plentiful game in and around the park include White-Tailed Deer, Black Bear, Turkey, Squirrel, Rabbit, Grouse and other small game. The Tailwaters of the Youghiogheny Lake Dam was named one of the top 5 places in Pennsylvania for trout fishing. And it's only a ten minute drive from the Yough Plaza Motel! In addition to that location, there are hundreds of top-notch fishing spots within minutes of our location. Down river of Ohiopyle, fisherman walk down the bike trail to reach out of the way fishing spots. It isn't hard to find a fishing spot all your own. Popular fish species include Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Pike, Walleye and Muskellunge. Fishing in the park is subject to the rules and regulations of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and we recommend that you visit their site to be well informed.
