Borwn Trout Fishing In Ohiopyle
Fishing In Ohiopyle State park
The fish are always biting in Ohiopyle State Park. With the Youghiogheny River flowing right through the heart of the park, a good fishing spot is never far away. The river is stocked by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission a few times a year. The main fish species you will encounter while fishing in the park are Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Small and Largemouth Bass, Walleye, and Muskellunge. Also in the park is Meadow Run, an excellent trout stream for anglers who prefer a smaller stream to fish in.
Outside of the park, about 8 miles away, is the Youghiogheny Lake. Fishing is very popular on the lake with species mentioned above, as well as Perch, Crappie and Pike being plentiful.
