The Natural Waterslides
Located only a few hundred yards from The Yough Plaza Motel are the famous Natural Waterslides of Ohiopyle. Over thousands of years, the water of Meadow Run has worn paths through the layers of rock creating a feature very much like a slide on the playground. Except this slide has water running through it.
In the summer, you can jump in at the top of the waterslides and let the water carry you to the bottom. At the bottom there is a pool of water for you to come to a stop in. It is advised that you wear jean shorts or shorts made from a touch material. It will make the trip to the bottom alittle less rough.
Before jumping in, please use common sense. If the water level is high or moving fast, use your best judgement and do not enter the natural waterslides. If in doubt, check with the Ohiopyle Park Office before using the Natural Waterslides.
